Hi everyone,

How is everyone doing? Have there been any changes or happenings since I left for my internship? I noticed that the website (including the forum) has not been changed for a while. So are there still people looking here? Then in my free time I can improve the site a bit, since it will still be 2 months till I can play again :) 

Then the forum can be changed back to this site perhaps, to make things easier, and maybe we can find someone to give an update once in a while. I would like to hear what you guys are up to ;)

Saturday meeting summery

For those members that were unable to attend last Saturday's meeting here is a summery:

Company Contributions: We have been meeting the minimum contribution points every month but not enough to keep our company house. As you all know, we lost our house this month. Some of the benefits of having a company house are the convinience of having access to the bank, vault, tavern & company shops all under one roof. Company recipes, these are available ONLY through company houses. Some of these recipes are very important and useful. For those of us that are crafters, you don't get full as quickly through the company. There are other benefits of course. 

Another point brought up during this topic is the fact that usually Van and Tylon are the ones to provide contribution items for all or most of us. They do this to help us and the company, because in the end they'd rather provide the items so as many people are able to contribute as possible. This however, puts a rather big strain on the very few people that rush to make/profide items for all of us to contribute. So a solution was agreed on. Each month Tylon will send a mail with the item(s) to be contributed for that month, and the materials nessesary to make/provide them. We will ALL then gather the materials needed and those materials will be given to the crafters that will make the items, the items will then be given to each member for contributions. If we work as a group, it will get done much faster and easier. All materials can be given to Tylon, or me (Elena) as I will be the one to store them until they are needed for making the items. Each month we need to strive to not just meet the minimum contributions, but ideally EVERY MEMBER of the company should turn in contributions. Not doing so impacts the company as a whole. Remember that we ALL get the benefits of contributing each month and thus we should ALL help with provided said materials.

Company member activity: Generally speaking the comany is fairly quiet and not many people are ACTIVE. out of the 40+ members we have, only about 10-15 are actually active. And being that member activity (or the lack there of) was also a factor in losing our company house, Tylon would like to see ALL members active if not daily at least regularly. And to help encourage that, we are all now required to "check in" twice a week (once a week with alts). This means, that two times a week we need to send a "Check in" mail to Tylon. Fail to do so will result in either being booted out of the company without warning, or given a written warning and being put in the "Kick out" list. We don't want to lose any of our members, but the company needs more than 15 ACTIVE members and this is why this new rule is in place. Once the company has a more stable and healthy lvl of activity this rule will not be nessesary. Remember: member activity or lack of, has an impact on the company.

Company Colony: We have been neglecting the company for quite some time now. Again, we need to work on this as a GROUP. There are more than a few benefits to having a colony and even more in having a fully developed one. For instance, there are some trade items only available in the colonies. There are ships unique to colonies as well. At a certain development lvl there is a +1 boost to ALL crafting skills while in the colony, and many many other benefits. As with company contributions, materials and funds can be gathered by ALL of us, and handed to either Tylon, Van or me (Elena) for storage. All materials and funds will be used for Colony development. 

Company Group Activity Day: In order to encourage more member activity, working together as a group, helping eachother and getting to know everyone better. We have started a group activity day. Every Saturday, starting this Saturday we will be holding an all day event. No one is REQUIRED to participate but we stroongly encourage it. Each week we will all have the chance to vote on the group activity to be chosen. Be it questing, maritime, crafting and many other options. Remember this is an all day event so you don't need to wake up early or be there at a certain time. You can join in at any point during the day. We are looking forward to our first group activity day this weekend. 

Company Website: It is encouraged that every member register to the company website, in here you are able to access company and game information, also, it is the best way to get company emails. The mail system in game is extremely limiting in space and results in ALOT of mails. Through the website we are able to send emails to everyone without worrying about space, thus you get ONE email instead of ten lol. Its also a good place to catch up on company news. Not everyone's online 24/7 so checking in here is sure way to keep up to date on stuff you may have missed while you were offline. The website is still being worked on, and anyone that has any ideas, suggestions or would like to contribute to the website may do so by getting in touch with either Tylon or myself (Elena). 

In an effort to keep us all up to date I have started a weekly newsletter. If there's anything that you'd like to include in the newsletter please let me know. 

NOTE: Company meetings will be held every two weeks. Information with date, time & location will be mailed to you a weekend advanced (if Tylon doesn't forget :P ).
